Welcome to Kairos Bartlett State JailThis site is primarily for the volunteers and our support groups. There is some information about Kairos Prison Ministry program but clicking on either the National or Texas Kairos Links to the left will give you much more information about the whole Ministry.
Our MissionBeing faithful to Kairos Model, we intend to facilitate the Holy Spirit's transformation of the residents of Bartlett State Jail into Christian Missionaries proclaiming that in Christ we are free indeed.
Who are We?We are a group of volunteers, men and women, who have felt Christ's call in Matthew 25:36 "...I was in prison, and ye came unto me." We are committed to the Kairos model of prison ministry. We provide "Kairos Weekends" every six months for 42 men and will meet weekly with those men and others. For information about Kairos and its model please visit either of the web sites below: Kairos Prison Ministry International
Contact InformationKairos is the second largest prison ministry with tens of thousands of volunteers. However, we only have a paid staff of nine internationally. The Kairos model is the servant's. We do not believe in having leadership serve for extended periods. There is a new "Leader" for each weekend and service on our Advisory council also changes yearly. One unfortunate effect of this is that our contact are constantly changing. If you will go to the Weekends tab and click the most current weekend you'll find the current contact. The information below is for the unit. Bartlett State Jail
